Since 1981, a large number of reconstructions had been carried out by Ulrike Koch-Brinkmann and Vinzenz Brinkmann on paper and in the form of three-dimensional copies in the original size. For the three-dimensional reconstructions, Thassos and Luna marble, artificial marble, plaster, Acrystal, crystalline acrylic glass (PMMA) and other materials are used.

The Stiftung Archäologie supported the making of polychrome casts of ancient sculptures, as well as publications and scientific documentations (e.g. in the form of film documentaries) on the subject in question. A chief aim of the Stiftung Archäologie was to promote the creation of didactic (cognitive) objects on the basis of scientific research.
